WHAT IS YOU FAVORITE THING ABOUT TEACHING ELEMENTARY STUDENTS? Elementary students find joy in the simplest things. I love building relationships with students over the course of the school year. FAVORITE HOBBY: I love baking and cooking new recipes. My family loves to travel and take road trips with our camper.
FAVORITE BOOK: Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird

AS A CHILD, WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP? An attorney
WHY DO YOU THINK CHRISTIAN EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT AND SPECIAL? We were created to have a relationship with Jesus. Christian Education allows for fostering, encouraging and growing in Christ throughout the school day. We are free to point students to Christ at any moment. Students spend an average of 1,440 hours in school each year. From kindergarten to 12th grade, students will attend school for an average of 18,720 hours. Those hours are crucial for preparing our children to be disciples for Christ.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY AT SCA? During our first chapel for the school year, I found myself absolutely overwhelmed with the goodness of God. Looking back over the past few years, I can see the steps God was orchestrating to move our family to SCA. There were moments when I did not understand why He was calling me to change my career path or move our children from their schools. My husband and I trusted God through the process with an unexplainable peace. I will forever cherish the memory of seeing my personal children in chapel for the first time while sitting with my own class.
