Sherwood Christian Academy High School Fine Arts is thrilled to present the classic musical production, Music Man, from February 1 to February 3, 2024, at Sherwood Baptist Church.
From the golden age of musical theater, Music Man is family friendly, full of dancing, and iconic lyrics – you’ll want to get up out of your seat for tunes like “76 Trombones” and “Trouble.” Set in 1912, a stubborn Iowa town is turned upside down with the arrival of a con-artist salesman Harold Hill, who convinces the townspeople that, for a small price, he’s going to start the best kid’s band the state has ever seen. In a turn of fate, he falls in love with the town librarian, Marian, and through his shenanigans, brings the town to life and an end to his con-artist ways.
Brydon Fox, SCA Fine Arts Director, expressed excitement about the upcoming production, stating, “The excitement the students have onstage is contagious, you won’t want to miss out.” Additionally, Fox mentioned that the production will feature a new and exciting element – the use of digital backgrounds, adding a modern touch to the classic musical.

Sherwood Christian Academy Fine Arts high school students have been enjoying an eventful year, with the One Act team securing victory at the GAPPS State Championship for the second consecutive year with the play The Importance of Being Earnest in November.
