This past Saturday, Sherwood Christian Academy’s Mock Trial Team achieved an incredible victory at the district level of competition! Their dedication, hard work, and teamwork truly paid off. We are immensely proud of our talented students and their outstanding performance.
Special congratulations to our individual award winners:
- Rowan Allen: Best Witness
- Alden Wright: 2 Best Witness awards
- Cooper Powers: Best Attorney
- Will Moorhead: 2 Best Attorney awards
The district level comprised the top three teams from both the Albany and Newnan Regions of competition. The competing teams were Sherwood Christian Academy, Valwood School, Lee County High School, Bremen High School Team A, Whitewater High School, and Bremen High School Team B. Each school competes in three rounds as either a plaintiff or defense legal team. At the end of three rounds, all schools are ranked on cumulative points.
Sherwood’s Legal Eagles won and will now advance to the State level of competition on March 15th to compete as one of the top eighteen teams in the State of Georgia. This is SCA’s second visit to the State Competition in only its third year of existence!
